Privacy Policy

The short version
You can use the entire builder without an account and without sending us anything. If you choose to sign in, we store your name, email address and the links you ask us to sync. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
Using the tool without an account
Links, presets and history are saved in your own browser using local storage. That data never leaves your device, and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and we hold no copy to restore.
What we collect when you sign in
Signing in uses Google. From Google we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google profile picture URL
We never receive your Google password. We request only basic profile and email access, and no permission to read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Google Ads data.
We also store, to keep you signed in and to support the service:
- A session token, its expiry, your IP address and browser user agent
- Any UTM links and presets you sync, including the destination URLs and campaign names they contain
- Your subscription status and Stripe customer identifier, if you subscribe
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach our servers. We store only the identifiers and subscription status Stripe reports back to us. Stripe processes that payment data under its own privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which features get used. It records page views and product events such as which ad platform was selected, and it sets cookies in your browser to recognise returning visits. It is loaded only when analytics is configured.
Google processes this data as our service provider, and also for its own purposes under its own privacy policy. We do not enable Google Signals or ads personalisation, so your activity here is not used to build advertising audiences. We never send your campaign URLs, UTM values or saved links to Google; only the event names and the small set of properties listed above leave your browser.
You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or by blocking analytics in your browser. The builder works exactly the same either way.
Who else processes your data
- Vercel, for hosting and request logs
- Neon, for the database
- Google, for sign-in and analytics
- Stripe, for payments
These are service providers acting on our behalf. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Sessions expire after 30 days. When you delete your account, your links and presets are deleted along with it, because they are removed automatically with the account record.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it. Email hello@utmmacro.com and we will action it within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We set a session cookie when you sign in. It is required for the service to work and is not used for advertising. No cookies are set for visitors who do not sign in, beyond what analytics needs when it is enabled.
Children
This is a tool for advertising professionals and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, including any change of ownership of the service, we will notify signed-in users by email before the change takes effect. Questions go to hello@utmmacro.com.
